Ex-player tips Shooting Stars for League shield

Enyimba and Dolphins FCs may be looking real good for the league shield now, but for a former captain of the Ibadan-based soccer lords, Shooting Stars, both teams' dream could get burst along the way...and no other team in the pursuit for the Premier League glory can do this, except Hadi Haruna's former side, Shooting Stars.

Haruna, who is presently under-going a coaching course at the Nigeria Institute For Sports,(NIS) Lagos, hinged his faith in the Stars on his belief that the team has both the financial and technical capabilities to muscle their way to the top of the League table at the end of the current season.

The trainee coach was full of praise songs for the team's chairman, Elder Bode Oyewole, while for the team's present handler, Kafaru Alabi, he doled his hat saying; ''Kafaru is a tested coach and has so far, shown some signs that he is ready to bring the team back to its top position in Nigerian football.

''So far, he has recorded some good results and from how they are going, the coach and his boys seem prepared to go the whole hog in their drive to win the Premier League...they deserve more encouragements from the club's board.''
