Wrestler Offor's endless search global crown

Chasing one's shadow, is no doubt, a task not worth a try. But for a Nigerian professional wrestler, Osita Offor, the task of hunting for a challenger of world rating, is more herculean than chasing his shadow...and he would tell you; " at least you can see your shadow and that tells you that at least, you are chasing something...catching it is another issue entirely.''

According to the wrestler,who could be said to have had quite a chunk of flesh in terms of local fights in his career, there are so many international wrestlers, who want him in the ring with them, but getting them for a solid bout package, has been his perenial head-ache.  He told nigeriasports.com in our office in Lagos that his bigger problem lies in the lack of sponsors.

"I have had challenges from the Eagles from the States, Juganauts and Vid Ven both from Canada, and even Belgian Ben Vendam, who is the current European professional champion.  I want to take on all these men, one after the other but, the snag has always been sponsors," regretted Offor, whose ring name is 'The Ultimate Commander'.

In an attempt to show that he could stand his grounds if caged a roped square against these known pro-matsmen, Ultimate took of time to classify and categorize his challengers.  "I am the Nigerian national heavyweight pro-wrestling king and that alone, speaks volumes.  That as you are aware, tells you that I have weathered a lot of storms in the local rings, which ofcourse, are very rugged.

"Fighting to the top in Nigeria, is no child's play.  This is a country that had produced world class and rated wrrestling kings and for one to climb on to any throne in the game here, is quite a job. The Americans are too full of themselves, and that is why I am itching to be squared-up against any of their champions in my class.

"European champions are very calm and offentimes, calculative in the ring and their technical approach to fights.  And I must confess to you, such wrestlers are very difficult to know, study and battle in the ring.  That is where the actual Universal Hard Core Title lies... and I am longing to be pitched against them.

Osita Offor, the Ultimate Commander, fresh from the gym where he had gone for some work-outs and muscle-toning exercises, also talked of his desire to be faced by one of these guys in the nearest future..."so I can prove that I am truly the ULTIMATE COMMANDER" he roared.
