Madugari Sparrows Set for Nairobi Tournament

Nigeria Representative in the forth coming Female Handball Tournament Madugari Sparrows would be leaving the country this weekend for Nairobi for the National U-23 Female Handball tournament.

Captain of the team Oluchi Eze told nigeriasports their aim for the tournament of taking part in the
competition is redeem the image of female handball in the country. “It has been long the female handball team participated in ant competition with Africa and outside Africa,”

“In this country we are the best female handball team you can think but it is always hard for us play in any competition because the national body don’t value female, they do prefer us than our male team and this is always problem to us but we thank God that our state Government just decided to give us this because we merit it,” she said.

She maintained that for them to participate in the tournament, that they would put all their effort to
make sure they come back with a trophy to show an appreciation the state government. Meanwhile the team would leave mardugari for Lagos Thursday while departing Saturday morning to Nairobi.
