LSBBA embarks on referee clinic

The Lagos State Basketball Association, LSBBA is organising a three-day clinic for referees, match commissioners, coaches and administrators ahead the City League which dunks-off on May 24.

The clinic according to association chairman, Babs Ogunade is to acquaint the game officials with the latest international rules governing the game.

The three-day clinic billed to statr on Thursday May 12 at the Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba will have Chris Obojememe and O'Brien Adoki as referee instructors while Col. Sam Ahmedu is to take charge of the match commissioners section.

The clinic, which start at 8.00am daily, is open to basketball fans that want to learn a few more things about the rules that govern the sport so as not to remian in the dark when referee makes some judgemental calls.

The LSBBA clinic is coming at a time Lagos State will play host to the FIBA-Africa zone-3 qualifying course slated for later this month.

Ogunade who expressed satisfaction so far in the build up to the City League appeal to referees in the state to use the clinic to brace up for the challenges ahead, aspiring referees are also welcome.
