Ezeji stated that the team was very unlucky in their  Caf champions League game against ASEC in Abidjan.

"I've played against Super Sports in South Africa, they are not a team to be reckoned with, I believe we will beat them comprehensively by the grace of God so that we can stand enough chance in our return leg," he said.

GOODWILL EKE (Portharcourt)
Before the start of 2005 CAF Champions League qualifications, I wrote to Dolphin's Media Manager telling him that the management were very busy making unnecessary noise and saying how they were better than Enyimba. I warned them to concentrate on recruitment of good players and better managers. How can a team play in Africa without any good midfielder and defenders . My prayer is that Dolphin will qualify for the group stage of the Confederation Cup. However, the mgt should go to Enyimba and understudy the team and management;embark on collaborative program with major clubs in Nigeria; recruit players like Uga Opara,Ekene Ezenwa, Omolade, etc. Thanks to Sam Sam Jaja for telling the Commissioner of Sports in Rivers State that Dolphin is not better than Enyimba. In addition, the Commissioner being a gentle man should apologise to Enyimba that is rated among the top 350 clubs in the world. Once again, thank you DR Sam Sam JaJa. Dolphin 2 Supersports 0
