Elephant Girls, Blue Angels in last four
The two teams fielded by First Bank basketball club in the ongoing Women Foundation of Nigeria, WFN Invitational championship, Elephant Girls and Blue Angels have both qualified for the semi-finals stage of the competition having won all three games played so far.
Elephant Girls campaigning in group-A yesterday confirmed its pre-tournament rating beating hard fighting Delta Force of Asaba 39-28 points while its junior team, the Blue Angels playing in group-B defeated Oluyole Babes 47-29 late Wednesday to also book a semi-finals ticket leaving the second slot for either F C T Rocks, AHIP Queens and ASPAC of Cotonou as Delta Force, Dolphins and G T 2000 battle for the soul of group-A second ticket. Four teams have already booked their exit from the championship that pundits believed has all the trapping of a real championship. The teams are Dodan Amazons, Energie of Cotonou, Edo Queens and Oluyole Babes.
