Dolphins shop for new Players

ASEC defeated Dolphins on penalties
The management of Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt have moved into the market to scout for good players to beef up their team for the Caf confederation Cup.

The new development  comes following the team's outser in the on going CAF Champions league played last weekend in Abidjan.

The commissioner for youth and sports development, Allwell Onyensoh told nigeriasports.com that since Dolphin will still participate in the CAF Competition hence the need to scout for players to beef the team for a better result.

“We lack midfielders, attackers and as we are still in the CAF Competition, we need to look for good players to beef the team to find our feet in the Confederation Cup,” he said.

Onyensoh confirmed that some of the old players would be dropped from the team to create space for the in coming players.

“We have about 36 players in camp and the best we have among them are only 20, we will definetly release those we believe will not make any  impact in the team when the new signings come in, so that we will be able to establish a strong team,” he added.

Speaking on their  performance so far in this year's Caf confederation cup, Onyensoh maintained that Dolphins tried it best to play into the third round but sadly lost out to former champions ASCE.

“The players did their best, in football you either you win or lose. We are still playing in the CAF competition but this time the Confederation Cup, I believe God might have destined that one for us so we will go for it,” he stated.

He assured that he would put his possible best to make sure Dolphins win any of the CAF Competition for the country.  Dolphin lost 5-3 on  penalties after aggregate score stood at 2-2 in Cote'd Ivoire.

This recruitment of new players has come rather late. This was what the management of the club should have done since the Competition started. I just wish that they'll go for the bestlegs around.I support Dolphin to win this confederation cup while Enyimba will be winning the CAF champs league.
I advice Coach Musa Abdullahi to go to Aba and beg Anyansi Agwu of Enyimba to release some hot players on loan for him .Enyimba has a better bench so it'll not disturb them in their pursuit of Champs Cup glory."A stitch in time saves nine''

Before this season started i thought i had that Dolphin is going for Kelechi Okoye, Midfielder, and Emma Isa, attacker, For my own view i think Kelechi will asist Victor Babayaro for the midfield problem. And Dolphin should forget about their loose and focus on the Caf cup competition and league matches. Good luck to my Paddy man Creat Victor Ezeji.

Dolphin too proved their champion only that it slipped off their hand a liitle. I think you remember that it's this the same Asec of Abidjan that denied Enyimba too in 2001 via a penalty shoot-out when Amodu Shuabi is in charge. So, they should not relent and come out in the Confd. cup.

They need no players from no team cos all the ones they have can still do it and make it as well.

Thanks

Wouldn't it be better for the management of dolphin to listen to what my very good friend Gazzy just mentioned above lol. Thus pride was their major factor that send them packing from the champions league.

I have mentioned elswhere that good players alone do not win laurels.Dolphine can buy all the players in Nigeria, but without discipline, commitment, dedication, perceverance, self belief etc they are going to have another disappointment. Mark my words.
