Amodu sure of Rangers

Amodu (middle) has confident in Rangers
After losing 0 - 1 to the Enugu - based Rangers International FC during the week 10 Globacom premier league at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium over the weekend, the coach of Sharks Football Club of Port-Harcourt and former Super Eagles handler, Coach Shuaibu Amodu described the Antelopes as formidable and determined resilient side.
Speaking to nigeriasports.com after the match, the Sharks sweat merchant said his lads did not quite play up to potential poiting out that despite the match being a good one his team conceded a very chicky goal.

He said he had been longing for an away victory hoping to upset Rangers right in their backyard but met a formidable and determined Rangers who had power in their attack.

"Generally, we didin't quite play up to potential today. it has been a good match but I think we conceded a chicky goal in the first half and that gave Rangers all the powers they needed to stay on",

"To be frank with you, I think both teams came here struggling hard to win the game. I have been longing for an away victory and I thought I could upset Rangers today but I met a formidable and determined resilient Rangers who had power in their attack because without that, they would not have scored in that first half".

But his colleague, Coach Lawrence Akpokona the Sharks FC that he saw was different from the Sharks he expected." Sharks FC today were tougher than we expected but all the same we were able to manage one goal, I think it is okay.

According to him the match forms part of their preparation for their match this weekend against Union Douala in the second leg of the Confederations Cup in far away Cameroon.

He complained of some of his players who are down ( Junior Osagie, Ugo Okeke etc ) but quickly prayed that they recover  before the weekend so that the team can go to Cameroon in full scale.
