Rangers in high hopes

Despite speculations that Rangers International FC may not survive the Union Douala FC fierce attack in Cameroon in return leg of the CAF cup competition this weekend, the players of the Enugu based Antelopes have assured that the team will come back victorious.
Speaking to nigeriasports.com at seperate interviews at their Rangers Camp, the players engoined Nigerians not to lose hope and pray for the team. For Onyekachi Apam, there is nothing too fantastic about Union Douala.

"Look, we are very very prepared for that match.People have been speculating of our beeing beaten  by the Cameroon side but I don't see them too fantastic to beat us even in their home. I believe that by the special grace of God we will come back with a good result",

"Away matches are quite different from home matches. We will be free while they will be under tension and you know what that means. Moreover, with the calibre of players we have now coupled with determination, we hope to come back happier than we left".

Igho Otegheri is counting on the team's away record to help the team qualify." We won our match here 3-1 and I know the calibre of players that we have now nothing will stop us. Again we better away",

"We are confident not sounding boastfull that we will win. They too are talking and you don't expect them to keep quiet or say that they will lose but with the help of God we will win".

Also speaking, Nnaemeka Anyanwu said the encounter in Cameroon against Union Douala will be a tough one but the Enugu Antelopes will stride to victory.

"It is a game of football and whenever you are playing ,whichever team, it is always eleven against eleven. We won them here 3-1 and we are going there to pick a point not just going to play", We are going there with all the necessary aggresion to push us into the next stage of the competition",

"You know that this is the toughest stage of this competition being the knock out stage and having come here and lost they would not want a repeat performance at home. They will go home and do all they can, if it is possible they would want the referees to come from Cameroon so that they will win",

"But I thank God it is a game of football and must be played before a result is declared. We must pick a point there. All Nigerians need do is pray for us and other Nigeria Teams involved in the continental assault and stop being pessimistic".
