Amodu drops hammer on players

As a result of their lethargic form in the nine week old Nigerian Premier League, Technical Manager of Sharks FC, Shaibu Amodu has begun a major reorganization in his playing personnel that could see as many as fifteen players thrown out for reasons ranging from low productivity, indiscipline and recurring injuries, nigeriasports.com can report.

Amodu on Tuesday morning announced sweeping changes in the team, first naming four players who have been placed on transfer.

The players, Tochukwu Nweze, who has already been given on loan to first division side, JC Raiders of Jos, Peter Doulough, Habibu Inuwa and Muyoyo.

“Peter Doulough has refused to raise his game since he played for the Eagles at the LG cup and his performance declines every day, while I now realize I made a mistake in buying Habibu Inuwa from Rangers as he is certainly not Sharks material,” Amodu told nigeriasports.com.

Sarafa Usman was suspended indefinitely for breaking camp just after the loss to Enyimba in week eight.

Kanu Anokwute, Ogbonaya Abosi and Joshua Akwai have been off an on due to injuries and were given medical warnings to get fit quick or be thrown out.

Ezioha Okereke who was signed from Dolphins and Ismaila from Kwara United were indicted for low commitment while captain Emeka Lucky, Sunny Jackson, Endurance Alaboru, Charles Omokaro and Odion Orobator are guilty of declining productivity.

According to the Technical Manager, all players aside those on medical warning have up to week sixteen to prove themselves or be thrown out in the mid season break.

The club has however used the transfer window to secure the clearance of defender Uga Okpara from Enyimba and goalkeeper, Abdul Isa, also from Enyimba while Sunday Johnson has been cleared from Lobi Stars.

Sharks face a testy away tie against Rangers in Enugu on Sunday and hope both Abdul Isa and Uga Okpara will feature in the match.

My dear Dero, please Sharks is an unpredictable team don't bank on them,Amodu look well to find what are the causes of his teams inconsistency, moreover he should be patient or his hiring ,suspending, firing system will bring disharmony into the team.He should take his time and build his team afterall Enyimba and Dolphins weren't built in a day or......................say season.
