Special sports will truly be special-Ebewele

Mr Browm Ebewele
Former international athlete,Brown Ebewele has warned special athletes who are not disciplined to change their ways or get the rough treatment. The Edo State Director of Sports is angling for the top job of the Special Sports Federation of Nigeria, SSFN. Ebewele is favourite to emerge president of the federation in the upcoming April 26 national elections after picking a slot during a keenly contested zonal elections held in Benin City on March 31.

The former decalthate speaking with a group of journalists and special athletes took a swipe at those athletes who he described as "disrepectful and indisciplined."Such athletes who take advantage of their condition to harrass officials would not be tolerated. No athlete

will fool anybody because he is on a wheel chair. Special athletes are special people and that explains why the world changed their name from disabled athletes to special athletes. The whole world hold special athletes in high esteem and the athletes too should reciprocate that gesture by behaving properly".

Ebewele said that one area his administration was going to work on was the education of Nigerians to know more about special sports. He noted that as at now many Nigerians did not know what special sports was all about. "Because Nigerians do not know much about special sports that is why we have always treated the sector with levity.

"All that, he declared "would stop in my tenure. I will ensure that the right structures are put in place so that the country will enjoy the full benefits of this special area of sports" Ebewele, an apostle for welfare for athletes said it was no longer going to be business as usual for those who in the past swindled special athletes. "In the past, I know some coaches used to share allowances with special athletes. That will not happen in my tenure.

Athletes will collect their full entitlements but that is if they are ready to work".He stressed that no athlete would be pampered because ofhis or her disability. "Any athlete who believes he can work on our emotion because of his disability is in for a tough time because I am going to employ the language he would understand to make him change his way".
"Disable

Ebewele boasted that his tenure would take special athletes to a new height which they never dreamt of in their wildest dreams. He enthused "I already have a blue print put together by my All Africa Games experience where I took special sports to another level in the continent and once we take control, we will be aiming beyond the skies".He added "In my regime, special sports will truly be special".

Good story about Brown's plan for special sports but l thought you could've ask him why he step down from AFN and switch over to special sports. We know him every well as a former international athlele, l think Brown could've have step down, it is better to go where you know what to do, than go for a fresh start .

Brown you will be better in AFN, thats where you belong.
THANKS
BYE FOR NOW
