Enyimba plans goal rain against Red Arrows

Anyansi Agwu holds aloft the Champions League trophy last year
Enyimba’s game plan against Red Arrows of Zambia in Sunday’s CAF Champions league third round match in Aba will be to attack and attack and score as many goals as possible, nigeriasports.com.

Chairman of the Club, Felix Anyansi Agwu told Nigeriasports.com that he is aware of the antics of East African Clubs so the only thing Enyimba can do is determine the second leg result by a good first leg score.

“I only want our fans to come out in their numbers to support us because this is a very crucial game for us.”

Anyansi took time to charge his players to look beyond their performance in the league as Africa is a different ball game.

“I have asked them to remain focused and not look beyond the game at hand for now. I know our focus is the cup, but we have to win the game starring at us or we do not get to the cup.”

Meanwhile ticket prices for the match have been put at three hundred naira (about$2) for popular side and five hundred naira (about $3.5) for VIP.

People's Elephant I agree with our chairman, we need to re-enact our game with Bakili Bullets last year against this team from Zambia. They will try no doubt but they will not be able to stop us. They can't win the cup rather they want to make history if we allow them to do but thank GOD there's no hiding place for them especially now that the Gov is crowned the New pillar of sports in Nigeria. We are expecting not less than 8 goals in our favour come Sunday so that if possible they can decide not to play the 2nd leg. Victory is our another name and sunday won't be an exception.

I'm very optimistic about the match come sunday. There's no doubt or whatsover that will stop the Aba boys from white washing their opponent from Zambia by unreplied 4-0.Though i don't undertestimate them but they will pay dearly for any mistake in the field of play.Okey Emordi is there to dish out every tactical approach to sail the victory a most beautiful one to celebrate with.

Enyimba, you guys have done it before, and i know you can do it again. Pls go for as many goals as you can to make the return leg a time to test other players in your team who have not really tested full action. I am with you guys in prayers. Goodluck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am flabbergasted at recent reports of one of the top Enyimba players billed for the match over the weekend saying that the last time he watched the Zambians playing was 2 years ago. I think as 2-time defending champions, Enyimba should start acting like one.

For heaven's sake, the players and the technical crew should be availed of video tapes of their opponents recent matches and form. Why, at the time and age of the 21st century should players in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE have no idea of their opponents form and tactics.

Although, I predict Enyimba to win 3-0, I feel they can win their matches much more convincingly if the put the modern steps in the right direction. Nzobu.. zobu ..........................!

Lanre, i agree with on not haveing watched the tape of their opponents.
But are you very sure that the player is a regular in the team's line-up?If yes..........the mangements of Enyimba should try to avoid future occurence please.

Enyimba are the defending champions but the should beware of the Zambians because any team playing agasint them prepares seriously knowing that the are a good side, please the should be wary of over anxiety and endeavour to create a strong team to enable them take the cup again. Please,Chairman Anyansi settle your problems with your sister team Nationale afterall the once sold players like Anumnu,Ochei,Ozurumba etc to Enyimba, rember they will stand by you in Nigerian football politics, also be good to people you meet on your way up because......................................................
