Robert Junior Making waves in Belgium

Its true the NFA has no way of knowing the number of good players Nigeria have abroad, neither can they ever find a way of knowing about the progress these players are making. Nigeriasports.com Europe correspondence MICHAEL OLUWASEUN OYELOWO reports on yet Nigeria born soccer sensation, 23years old SOULIEMAN ROBERT JUNIOR who is making waves in Belguim league. Though he plays in lower division, he has so far scored 11 goals for his club KLUB BERINGEN HEUSDEN ZOLDER(KBHZ) a division 2 clubside. Micheal went out to see play over the weekend and had a chat with him after the game. Excepts below.

I saw this guy playing and I cried for the unluycky boy, because he's above the class he's playing for now and he's still facing some racial problems in his club.

M-Nigeriasports.com:  Hi Junior, I have just watched you play, and I think you are top class

JUNIOR- Thank you. How are you doing brother?

M-Nigeriasports.com: I'm from Nigeriasport.com and Nigerian soccer fans arround the world wants to know about their stars in Europe and all over the world.

JUNIOR- Waoh! So you guys knows that am here? I think NFA  don't do a normal search for players, but i've vowed never to beg for publicity,am waiting for the right time that God will answer my prayer and my star will shine. But at the same time am glad that you are here to see me play. So am just hearing about nigeriasports.com, but you guys are really trying i think.

M-Nigeriasports.com: I think its not easy for the press to know about all the players but we at nigeriasport.com wants to reach Nigeria stars wherever they are, we try our best to get reliable information and news.

JUNIOR-I believe you, for coming all the way to watch me play.  I  believe that you might have read about me from LIMBURG newspaper.

M-Nigeriasports.com: Yes, indeed I read alot about you, but i also understand you are having problems with your club, what's it all about?

JUNIOR- I dont want to say much about my problems with this club,I  am just trying to find my way to a better team, may be in division 1, and my  agent  is also in negotiations with some top teams in Europe, but I don't want to say anything until everything is ok.

M-Nigeriasports.com: With 11 goals for your  team, and you are still not finding it easy with the team?

JUNIOR-Its like you want me to say something...ok, the problems I have here deals with politics in the team, but I dont want that to weigh me down,I still have to fight on to save my career.

M-Nigeriasports.com: Do you see yourself playing for Nigerian team later in the future?

JUNIOR- When is the future? I don't want to think about that now, but if am giving an invitation by the NFA to prove myself I will be happy to fight for a shirt. Its the dream of every player to feature for his country, but if they dont call me, I can not beg. But, if they dont call me before I get my Nationalty here in Belgium, then may be it will be over with Nigerian team then. But please, I don't want to talk or think about that for now, let me  fight to save my career first and the future.

"SOULIEMAN
