Current African Coach of the year, Okey Emordi of Enyimba International FC and his Enugu International FC counterpart, Lawrence Akpokona are confident of winning with their respective sides in this weekend's CAF champions league and Confederations Cup.
On Sunday, two time Champions League Champions Enyimba International FC play host to Simba FC of Tanzania who forced them to a 1 - 1 draw two weeks ago while Enugu Rangers will welcome El- Sony Nguema of Malabo, Equitorial Guinea to the coal city on Saturday.
Speaking exclusively at seperate interviews on phone to nigeriasports.com said that the important thing at the moment is qaulification into the group stage of the various competitions and no stone is left unturned to ensure that.
Coach Emordi is banking on the current form of his team and the mindset of the boys which is, to set a new histoty in African football by winning the Champions League three consecutive times to thrash by visiting Simba.
"We are going to qualify in Jesus name because currently we have a good team and we are doing well".
Akpokona who was denied the chance of lifting the Confederations Cup last year by the eventual winner of the trophy, Accra Hearts of Oak said the ultimate is qualification and his team hope to get it.
"We hope to win. We have to win to be in next stage.We don't have any problem not to do just that.We had a tough game there when we played on a grassless pitch. But here the story will be different",
"Even themselves that played well there will have a better chance to play good football. But whatever happens, we hope to triumph".
