Enyimba hopeful over Simba

Enyimba's Nwaneri lift the cup last year
The players of the African Champions, Enyimba International FC have expressed confidence as the team begin its defence of the CAF Champions league in far away Tanzania. Speaking to nigeriasports.com before the team's departure, midfielder Musa Aliu said although the match will be a difficult one, the team will come out victorious.

"This match is going to be difficult. It is not as though we are scared. We are not. We are very confident but it is going to be tough. Our qaulification depends on this match and that is why we prepared so well for it",

"We know what is involved and you know being the defending champions every other team in Africa want to beat Enyimba to make name. So, it is going to be tough, as we are gunning for tripple the Tanzanians are gunning for name".

Speaking on wheather the absence of the key players that won the trophy last year will affect the team's performance, Aliu said that will not affect the new Enyimba.

"We miss them but that does not suggest that we will not do well without them. We have quite a number of young talented players who are willing to make name for themselves. Without sounding boasfull, I think Enyimba has a very good team that can do well by the grace of God".

He enjoined Nigerians to continue praying for all the Nigerian teams participating in one championship or the other at the continental level.

"We need the usual prayer of Ngerians to bring more honour to Nigeria. I believ that this year  Nigeria will win more continental honours and trophies".

It is a big challenge for the new players to repeat the feast performed by their predicessors. I hope they will do just that

There is not going to be any problem bcos we are the defending champion. Enyimba's needle will pass through the Thread-hole. can somebody call a snail a bull. Impossible. So, Enyimba is going there to grab at least a draw or at last winning.
