"I ran to furious Mancini"-Martins

Martins shoots for goal on Wednesday
After his goal at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia last week, Oba Martins scored against Atalanta again at the Giuseppe Meazza wednesday.

Atalanta twice cleared off the line in the first half, while Obafemi Martins saw his close-range shot come off the crossbar before he opened the scoring just after the half hour.

The Nigerian squeezed between Natali and Bellini then turned the Atalanta number six before firing past Calderoni to make it eight goals in the serie A and sixteen in all competitions this season. The former FC Ebedei star was however replaced on the dot of 90 minutes.

After the match Martins said "When I hit the bar in the first half I looked towards Mancini and he was understandably angry because you have to score when you're in front of goal," explained the Nigerian forward.

"Luckily I scored after that; let's hope I continue to do well. After my goal I ran to Mancini to celebrate. We have worked a lot in training and I wanted to share my joy with him. I'm in form at the moment; we want to continue winning now."

On the other hand Ayodele Makinwa saw full 90 minutes of action and gave a good account of himself.
Despite not scoring he got praises from his coach and fans for several runs.

Also in Italy Christian Obodo put nearly every foot wrong last night as his team, Fiorentina lost again at home.

Bundle of talents could not hold his own and so was substituted in the 75th minute of the game seen by 29,000 fans.
