Insurance prepare for 2005 season

Management of Nigeria premier league side, Insurance of Benin are hoping for a better campaign next season as they snapped up new players and paid half of the player's sign on fee for the coming season.

According to Femi Emmanuel who joined from Shooting Stars of Ibadan last month, the gesture is a good one for the team.

"It's true we've been paid 50% of our sign on fee for next season but importantly everyone is happy here in Benin," he told Nigeriasports.com on Monday.

"We are on break now and the chief coach (Godwin Uwua) expect us to return by the weekend of January 2004." he added.

Insurance will be Nigeria's second representative in the 2005 Caf confederations cup alongside Enugu Rangers.

In preparation for their campaign on the continent, the club is boosted by the return to training of injured hotshot Emmanuel Omodiagbe and signings of former Rangers sharp-shooter, Ugochukwu Okeke, John George (NPA) Emeka Okonkwo (Pillars) and Alfa Bayo(Berger).
