Nneka vows to thrash them all

Nneka Okoro winnner of the U-16 category in Kaduna in the on-going NNPC junior tennis circuit has promised to beat all comers in that category retain her No1 ranking. Speaking to Nigeriasorts.com shortly after disposing off her Port-Harcourt based Italian challenger 6-0, 6-0. Nneka maintained that in her present form she doesn't she how any of the players in the circuit will beat her. "I am winning this tournament no matter what anybody plays", she says.

Reminded of how she lost to her younger sister Chika Okoro in the Prime Interface finals in Lagos a couple of months ago, she said,  " Oh the prime interface finals? I don't know what went wrong in that tournament, it was my worst tournament ever, but I have put that behind me now,  you go ask my sister, she knows she can't stand me now. How about Liola Kienka? Yes, In her good day she is good, but in my good day too,  I will beat her throughly.
How it like in Kaduna playing on Clay Court? I was suprised that I got to Kaduna and played well on the clay courts, but I still prefer to play on hard court she declared before going to her drink.

Meanwhile as the kids seem to be through;y enjoying themselves making new frends and knocking in the exclusive members only tennis section of the Port-Harcourt Club, Engineer M Okoro father to nneka has decried the absence formidable opponents from the zone, especially from the host state Rivers-State wondering if there are no kids playing tennis in the state.

" We came here to test our kids against  the best from the zone,  there must be some good junior players from Delta, Edo, and Imo states who should be competing here. but the zones are not represented here,  It is through these circuits, and through competing amongst themselves that we find the best that will represent this country in the future, we want standard players representing us" Engineer Okoro lamented.

However, the Kienka's  even though they live in Lagos are from Rivers-state and has vowed to make the state proud by winning in their various categories. The tournament ends on sunday with the Rivers State Governor Odili  expected to grace the occassion as  the special guest of honour.
