Female league Super Six holds at last in Abuja![]() Six of Nigeria’s best female football club will clash in a round robin fashion in Abuja for the Super Six play-offs of the Nigerian league. After the regular season Pelican Stars of Calabar, Sunshine Stars of Akure and Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa made it from Group B, while FCT Queens of Abuja, Solid babes of Lafia and Delta Queens of Asaba were the qualifiers from Group A. Already, the season ending tourney will be without a large number of Super Falcons players who are either injured opr recuperating after a long season of local and international engagements. Midfielder, Ajuma Ameh of Pelican Stars of Calabar is already out of it as her wedding ceremony comes up on the 11th of December. Ajuma Ameh weds Peter Ottache in Lagos. Pelican Stars of Calabar will also miss the services of two other players- Yinka Kudaisi who is recovering from an injury and Titi Mekuleyi who is out for the year following injuries sustained at the African Women Championships in the group game against Cameroon. Vera Okolo is also recuperating from an appendicitis operation and has been ruled out of the Super Six while Precious Dede, Falcons number one keeper may not feature as she is not fully fit from injuries sustained against Cameroon in the African Women championships two months ago. 1
