Chukwuma sure of Enyimba

Chukwuma believes Enyimba will seal Esperance lips
While many Nigerians had written off the possibility of Enyimba football club of Nigeria coming out of the second semi-final encounter against Esperance of Tunisia unhurt, the chairman of Gabros International of Nnewi, chief Gabriel Chukwuma has experessed optimism that the team will survive the heat.

Speaking to nigeriasports.com receently, the first vice chairman of the Nigerian Football Association, said that all hope is not lost believing that the team will leap past humiliation. 'All hope is not lost. Having come this far,the defending champions have shown that they are real champions.

They played well against the Tunisians in Nigeria. If they can add a little to such performance in Tunis, they will be left with nothing less than victory, 'I tell I believe so much in this team. I have no feeling os disappointment over their performance this season in the Champions league. How many teams have been able to defend the Champions league up to the semi-finals. If there are, they are not many at least to my knowledge, "All I am asking of Nigerians is fervent prayers for the team.

They need it now more than ever. This is not the right time to express hopelessness or call the players and officials names, 'As I heard, the Tunisian Embassy restricted their issuance of visa to avoid many Nigerians going to watch the match and we all know what that means. So, we have to support them from our, homes praying and hopin for the best. No holding back Apperantly to give Nigerians hope as to what will happen in Tunisia as Nigeria's Enyimba football club play guest to Esperance of Tunisia in the second leg semi-final of the Champions league, the Sole Administrator of the team Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu said the team will not be disgraced in Tunisia.

Speaking to nigeriasports.com recently, the chairman said that despite the poor results posted at home by the defending champions this season, the team will do their best in Tunis. " I know what is in the minds of many Nigerians but I can assuure you, we will do our our best not to disappoint Nigerians. We should not be written off because it is not over untill it is over" Speaking on the venue of the finals which was speculated to be outside Aba following CAF threat of banning the Aba stadium, chief Anyansi Agwu said the most important thing for now is to get to the final;s first before talking about where it will be played.

"We need to get to the bridge of the finals and then talk about how best to cross it. The Aba stadium is not banned as widely reported, CAF only gave directives which we followed strictly in our last match. So, there is nothing to be afraid of about the venue. Let's get the ticket first".

I also support what the chief said, but it is going to take serious hard work and determination from the players to believe in themselves and their ability to make it happen. I can only pray and wish them good luck, but the ball is in their half, they have to kick it very well. Good luck boys, you can do it.

Enyimba should be a force in African soccer by now and even the Tunisians know it will not be an easy game. I believe Enyimba has an edge here.
