Ashanti vows to stop Rangers

Asante
Visiting Ashanti Kotoko of Ghana has vowed to stop Rangers International of Enugu as both sides slug it out in the on going Confederations Cup billed for the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium this afternoon.

Speaking with nigeriasports.com in their hotel barely three hours to the commencement of the game, one of the team’s strongman Wameh Patrick assured that they would try their best possible to return to Ghana without conceeding a goal.

According to him, it was not an easy game for both sides when they met in the first leg on their
home soil, but they now know the Nigerian representatives better. “When we played Rangers in Ashanti it was not easy for us although we won 3-1, it is a different ball game now but we will try our best to make sure they do not go past our defence”, he boasted.

Meanwhile the chief coach of the team would rather stay on the fence until the match is over.

“I don’t have anything to say because it is football and not a war situation, the results only come out after the 90minutes of the game, but I know that we are not here for a jamboree”, he disclosed.
