Okoye, fans pray for Victory

Soccer fans in Enugu have all gone to God in prayers for a victorious outing today as Rangers International battle Ashanti Kotoko of Ghana in a crucial group stage encounter in the on going Confederation Cup billed for Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Some of the fans who spoke to nigerasports.com earlier today, stated that they have already entrusted
the clash into Gods hands. “We have been in a prayerful mood since last week because we want our team to retaliate what Ashanti did to them far away in Ghana, kelechi Obi stated.

“My God has never failed me and he will vindicate Rangers this time, nobody will stop it, Emmanuel Okeke
said.

“It not as if Rangers don’t know how to play but I think most of the players are very far from God and l
believe they must have used this opportunity to ask him for forgiveness which we their fans have asked God to do for us and not only for them,” Chidi Isiadinso noted.

“In Ghana it was not easy for Rangers not that they did not play good game but because God want it that way because without God nothing is possible but he allowed them to lose and come back to him in prayers for success this time and both players, officials and we the fans have done that and he is not going to abandon us,” Emeka Onyia added.

In the same vain, the captain of the team, Sam Okoye has allayed all fears by the fans, stressing that the day has already been made by God.

“Today is going to be our day because we already have the divine grace”, Okoye said.
