Dolphin restate support for Enyimba

Rivers State Sports Commissioner, Allwell Onyesoh has restated the support of Rivers State and Dolphin FC to the cause of Enyimba of Aba in the Champions league, nigeriasports.com can report.

Onyesoh in the chat with nigeriasports.com said  Rivers State and Dolphin are fully behind Enyimba as far as Sunday’s Champion’s league semi final match is concerned.

Recalling with pride how Enyimba broke Ismaili of Egypt’s back last year to win the hitherto elusive cup for Nigeria for the first time, Onyesoh said he was confident that the management team led by the impressible Felix Anyansi Agwu would propel the Aba boys to greater glory and make more history as the first team to win the trophy back to back.

“The possibility of Enyimba and Dolphin competing in the 2005 edition of the CAF Champions league remains an intimidating prospect that would do Nigerian football a world of good because of the respect both teams will attract to the country.” Onyesoh said.

“Infact I am glad that I am one of the direct stake holders.”

Sole Administrator of Enyimba FC of Aba had cried out to the press last week that Dolphin plan to derail their championship winning ambitions by luring their players away in the heat of their Champions league campaign.

It is rumoured that Obinna Nwaneri, Musa Aliyu, Muri Ogunbuyi, David Tyekase and Joetex Frimpong might be on their way to Port Harcourt for the 2004/2005 football season.
