Continental war, Emordi call for prayers

The chief coach of Enyimba International FC of Aba, Okay Emordi and assistant Stanley Egwuma have called all their soccer loving fans and well wishers to go to God in prayers as they battle Esperance FC in the first leg semi final of the on going CAF Continental Championship billed for Aba on Sunday.

Speaking with Nigeriasports.com in Otta Tuesday, Emordi disclosed that with the prayers of Nigerian they would be able to conquer Esperance FC of Tunisia in Aba this weekend.

“Prayer is the key as you know and that is what we need now, we have done our part as coaches and we want God to finish it as God that giving victory at the end of the game,” he said.

He maintained that the players are in shape and highly motivated in spirit, which would lead to the success of the game.

In the same assistant coach Stanley Egwuma also confirmed that with high spirit of the boys, nothing would stop the team to the finals.

“The players are in high motivated spirit, they know what is at stake and willing to deliver to the success of it and with their physical shape now I don’t think anything would stop them from going to the finals,” he said.

He stressed that the poor out come of their two pervious matches against African Sports and Sahel was a big slap on their faces, saying that they would do their best to make sure the same did not happen again.

Some of Enugu prominent men have come in mass in supporting Rangers International FC of Enugu with funds as they battle Ashanti Kotoko FC of Ghana in
the return leg match of the on going Confederation Cup billed for Enugu this Saturday.

Speaking with Nigeriasports.com personal assistant to sports commissioner Okay Nnamani revealed that most of the Enugu money tycoon has come out in mass promising the Antelope boys a lot of cash if they would be able to deliver Ashanti Kotoko FC in the hands of Pharaoh.

According to him, Owa II of Ankanu has dropped a huge amount of money for the team, which would deliver to them at the end of the game.

He mentioned that there are a lot of others who pledged as well, and hoping to be at the stadium the deliver it.

“This is the first time some of rich men in Enugu are coming out to support Rangers International in a big way but at the moment only Owa II of Enugu has dropped his although I can’t figure out the amount but it is better than nothing.”

“I say it is a good development for us here because for a decade nobody is doing some for these boys they have been suffering here but now things have come to reality and I believe there is no going back,” he said.

He noted that with the financial boost nothing will stop Rangers FC from beating Ashanti in Enugu with number of goals.

In the same Samuel Ledoh assured that the players will try their best to be in the finals.

He confirmed that “This is the first time we are been boosted with sure promises, I hope they all fulfil it,” he said.

Captain of the team Sam Okoye sound very optimistic of the team beating Ashanti FC with number of goals that would able them to qualify to the final stage of the competition.

All i can say is that enyimba Fc should try and put in their best possible becuase their opponent (esperence) will not be an easy fry. They should have it at the back of their mind that they are our great "white" hope in this continental engagement.
