Rivers Angels smile at last

MArtha Abara, may smile again
The financial travails of Rivers Angels Sports Club of Port Harcourt took a turn for the better during the week as they received the sum of N1.5m from the Rivers State Government to assist them in the FA Cup exploits.

The Port Harcourt based side, who have been enmeshed in financial crises for twelve months can now smile as they take on Solid babes of nasarawa on Friday.

The money in question is to cover for the FA Cup group stages, which has already been played, and Friday’s quarterfinal match.

Already, players and officials of Rivers Angels have reiterated their resolve to win the match and make it to the semi finals to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday in Abuja.

I really don't know how to thank the River State Governor for all he has done/been doing for all the clubs in the state. I just pray the management of Rivers Angels will make judicious use of this money this time around bearing in mind that whom much is given much is expected.
