Atuegbu hails Enyimba, Enugu Rangers

In a chat with Nigeriasports.com, Atuegbu expressed joy over Enyimba’s ability to hold Bakili Bullet 1-1 on their home soil last Saturday.

“I must tell you my heart is filled with joy, these boys are wonderful, they really show that they are really out to defend this title and I must tell you if they can continue with the spirit I discovered in them believe me sky will be their limit,” he said.

Aside Enyimba, Atuegbu also hailed Ranger International for their effort so far to remain in the competition, despite the hard time they face in Enugu.

“I must congratulate players because despite what they suffer in their club they still have that mind to go out there and come back with some thing good.

I did not watch their match against Sudan but for them to have beating the same team 4-0 at Enugu and conceded 2-1 in return show that they are equally good, I must give kudos to them,” he said.

He maintained that with the performance of both clubs in the CAF Continental level proves that Nigeria football is developing, adding that more effort would be needed by the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) to add glamour to it.

“If this two club can go that far in the CAF Continental level that shows that our football is developing but I think we still need the help of Nigeria Football Association (NFA) so that it will look more glamour and interesting,” Atuegbu suggested.
