Uwak, Mekuleyi head for U-19

Some Super Falons players who did Nigeria proud at the last AWC in South Africa have been invited to the U-19 camp, reports nigeriasports.com.

The Falconets billed to fly Africa's flag at the world U-19 championship in Thailand this November, will resume camping for the bi-annual fiesta next wednesday in Abeokuta.

The Super Falcons players including Cynthia Uwak, Titi Mekuleyi and Ayeesat Yusuf have however been excused  from reporting to camp on Wednesday due to their scheduled meting with the Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday in Abuja.

It is however not yet clear if Titi Mekuleyi, still recovering from an injury picked up in South Africa during the AWC can recover on time for the championship.

The Nigerian side failed to make it beyond round one in Canada two years ago.
