FIBA-Africa shop for host, as Angola declines

With less than six weeks to the grand finale of the 19th African Champions Club Cup compettition, host for the epic final is yet to be known as the continental ruling body, FIBA-Africa is in a confused state.

Our investigation revealed that the Dr. Alan Ekran led body could not fashion out a moderate time-table but are quick to throw the issue of hosting its numerous competition at any country that shows the slightest interest unlike its world body counterpart, FIBA, a practice that have continue to slow down the growth of the slaming and dunking game in Africa.

The African body we gathered from impeccable sources had approached Angolan champion Agosto basketball club to host the finals which the club and the country basketball federation politely declined on the ground that it would be difficult for them to raise the necessary fund to be a good host which will see the best ten male club-sides in the continent vying for honour with Nigeria's Ebun Comets basketball club aiming to do the impossible by being the first Nigerian team to win the cup that has remain elusive to the Africa most populous country.

With the clock ticking towards the date fixed for the grand finale of the body most prestigious club competition (second week of November this year) drawing nearer by the day it lives much to be desire as to the seriousness of FIBA-Africa.
