2004 FA Cup: Pelican, Rivers Angels in fine form

Pelican Stars of Calabar on Monday at the Bayelsa Sports Complex continued their hundred percent record in the FA cup with a 2-1 win over Ebonyi Angels of Ebonyi State.

Ifeanyi Chiejine made it two goals in two games with a strike in the first half while an own goal gave Pelican Stars their second goal.

Rivers Angels also made it two out of two with a 1-0 win over Ibom Angels of Uyo with Faustina Ugwuadu getting the lone strike.

In Makurdi, FCT Queens of Abuja thrashed Remi Babes of Ogun State 3-0.

Isioma Odigilia hit the net twice while Christy “Zico” Ishaya added the third.

Waheed Queens of Kaduna ended one nil winners over Oyo State.

In Kaduna, Delta Queens battled to a nil all draw against Solid babes of Nasarawa while Bayelsa Queens thrashed Inneh Queens of Benin 4-1.

Rosemary “Afara” Okezie got a hattrick while Gift Otuwe added the third.

Grace “Maama” Kure pulled one back for Inneh Queens.

Sunshine Queens of Akure and Macbeth of Lagos battled to a one all draw
