Omidiran exonorates self

Super Falcons
The leader of delegation for the Falcons to the just concluded AWC South Africa 2004, Ayo Omidiran has absolved herself from any blame whatsoever concerning what happened to the ladies after the championship, reports nigeriasports.com

Speaking to Nigeriasports.com on arrival at the Lagos international airport with the rest of the team, the female football administrator disclosed that she has always done her best for the team. "I was only the leader of delegation and not one to pay the girls. I am not to be held responsible for the whole episode over there", she declared.

On the present relationship with the girls whom she also led to the last world cup in the united states in 2003, the Osogbo based NFA board member revealed that she remains their mother. "The girls all trust and believe in me and till tomorrow, nothing has changed. The girls all knew that the matter was out of my hand", she concluded while stressing that the Falcons all received the money due them before leaving South Africa.

Two members of the team, Ayeesat Yusuf and Titi Mekuluyi also confirmed that they were all paid before agreeing to come back to Nigeria. "Yes we all got our money and we all came back together", one of them stressed.

Reports Opatola Adewole, just back from Jo'burg, South Africa.

Well done girls. Even if the so called NFA and the sports ministry did not welcome you all, the over 180million nigerians says you girls are awesome, and we are all proud of you all. You have made your point and you achieved it. Lets all move forward now to better things ahead, that is if the NFA have that vission.
Welcome girls.

Alhaja Ayo Omidiran doesn't need to stress herself. You have done your best. You've been the one who's behind them since they've been winning this tournament. This is their 4th time. If you are a bad mother to them they won't succeed this. Throughout the tournament they were not paid any penny and still they played. if you did not feed them a sweet worlds they won't win the cup as well.
Thanks.
