Falcons homeward bound

The six day player revolt by members of Nigeria's senior national team, the Falcons finally came to an end, friday in South Africa as the Falcons players recieved all entitlements owed them, nigeriasports.com can report.

Midfielder, Ajuma Ameh told nigeriasports.com that the players were paid on friday morning and are on their way out of South Africa to Lagos.

"We got paid this morning," Ajuma told nigeriasports.com.

"All eighteen players got six thousand dollars each and we thank God we can now go back home."

"It was an ordeal that lasted too long. That is not what we wanted and we are really sorry we embarrassed the country but how else would we have recieved our money?"

Ajuma told nigeriasports.com that only the players got paid as the officials were left out of the transactions.

"We are right now at the airport and will take the three o clock flight out of South Africa."

All eighteen players of the team will likely miss the Female FA Cup preliminary matches which kick off across the country from saturday.
