Ukeachu hails Amodu, Sharks over league success

Sharks coach, Shaibu Amodu
Tony Ukeachu believes the return of Sharks FC to the top level Premier League next season will ginger a new level of competitiveness as one of the best teams in the country. Nigeriasports.com understands.

The former Enyimba FC of Aba coach said Sharks fast return to the top after only one year at the professional rank could only have been achieved with an internationally acclaimed coach as Shuaibu Amodu.

"I like to congratulate Shuaibu Amodu for doing a very good job of leading Sharks to win promotion to the Premier League in under one season of going down It is only a good and experienced coach of his type that could have done it. I admire his courage and commend it to other coaches," Ukeachu who has also handled top teams as BCC Lions of Gboko, Iwuanyanwu Nationale of Owerri and Udoji United of Awka told Nigeriasports.com

"I believe that with the kind of keen contest we saw in the professional league this past season, Sharks emergence at the top the Pro- One A, was merited. It showed they are the best there going from their progression right from week one. It is only an experienced coach as Amodu that could have had the guts to do it with little blemish," he added.

Ukeachu predicted that with Sharks, one of the traditional state teams back into the Premier, competition next season will not only get tougher, but also can give a shocker to some of the old teams there except the work extremely hard to keep their places.
