Nigeria 5 – Cameroun 0

Nigeria celebrates another success
The Nigerian Super Falcons today recorded an historic 5-0 victory against the boastful Camerounian ladies, report nigeriasports.com.

The Nigerian female football team, the Super Falcons proved how super they could be with a 5-0 annihilation of Cameroun.

The goals started pouring in the 15th  minute when Perpetual Nkwocha curled in a superb free-kick from the edge of the box, reminiscent of the wonder free-kick Austin Okocha scored against the same Cameroun in the African Nations cup, Tunisia 2004.

The second goal came in the 35th minute as master dribbler, Vera Okolo dribbled her way down the right flank to release a low cross for Perpetua Nkwocha who needed just a simple tap in to score.

Perpetua Nkwocha again made it 3 in the 40h minute as another run down the right flank by Cynthia Uwak was again connected home by the leggy striker.

The first half ended with Nigeria taking a comfortable 3-0 lead but the tally was increased in the 59th minute as the same Perpetua Nkwocha curled in a wonderful shot inside the Camerounian vital box after Vera Okolo had wonderfully displaced two Camerounian defenders, much to the admiration of the Nigerian fans who had all along singled her out as the female maradona.

Vera Okolo herself got the last goal in the 80th minute as Perpetua Nkwocha this time turned the provider, releasing a low cross across the goal line after out-running her marker from the right flank.

Reports Opatola Adewole, Jo'burg South Africa.

UP the SUPER FALCONS of NIGERIA!!! For the fourth consecutive time, they are African Champions in the female football.
Really, its not a good development to African football that one team is continually winning the trophy...i wish there'll be more challenges to the cup in the next 2yrs.
I wish OBJ will not give the golden girls a mere handshake. They have done the country proud once again... I must also comment best player and highest goal scorer of the tournament, Pepetua Nkwocha. Indeed your a 'GOLDEN GIRL'
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!

No big deal winning this cup as the other nations have simply failed to raise their games beyond what we have seen. The falcons should be better organised to square up to the best in the world of female football, then we will see how SUPER they will be at the next world cup.

First of all, i will like to thank God almighty for giving nigeria so much talents. I cant help but commend the falcons for thier performance. Women football has never being respected in nigeria, these girls even though they did not get much support still managed to do well, the sports ministry need to change their attitude to women football. These girls have achieved even what the super eagles hasnt achieve, they have won the women nation cup four times thats fantastic. The govt should reward the girls very well, give them cars, houses and everything they want, they deserve it. UP SUPER FALCONS.
