Falcons fly to AWC final
The final of the African women championship, South Africa 2004 billed for October 3rd will be between Nigeria and Cameroun, nigeriasports.com reports.
The Nigerian team, defending champions since inception, thrashed Ethiopia 4-0 while Cameroun defeated Ghana 1-0 in the first semi-final. Cameroun scored the decider in the 5th minute of extra time though a ferocious shot by Bwella Francoise while Nigeria, with goals from Cynthia Uwak (2), Effionwa Ekpo and Perpetua Nkwocha romped into her fourth straight final by dismissing less fancied Ehiopia.
