Yussuf commends Super Falcons

Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters club Alhaji Aderele Yussuf, has commended the Super Falcons on their brilliant performance so far at the 4th Africa Women Championships in South Africa reports Nigeriasports.com. In an exclusive interview with Nigeriasports.com Thursday, Yussuf said with the Athens Olympics experience the Nigerian girls will continue to rule Africa, saying he did not forsee them having trouble defending their title a fourth consecutive time in South Africa."Super Falcons have acquire the experience that no other African country have, l don’t see any country poising a threat to them in this championship. It will be difficult for any African country to dethrone them," Yussuf said. He stressed that women football in Africa is coming of age saying in the near future, it will become widely accepted like the male game. Yussuf also calls on Nigeria television to start giving live coverage to local games to sterm the rampant cases of football hooliganism. "Until we start appreciating the value of television in our league and beaming all the matches lives, our league will continue to depreciate. l must confess to you that the Nigeria league has lost its glamour and except we take a cue from South Africa that has improved the standard of it's Premier Soccer League with live television broadcast, Nigerians will never appreciate improvements in our game," Yussuf told nigeriasports.com By Onyinyechi Anyanwu
