Omeruah pledges 'fairness' to all

Lagos - NEWLY appointed chairman of a one-man 'Probe Committee' on the failure of Nigeria at the Athens04 Olympics, Dr. Emeka Omeruah has pledged his committment to be "fair to everyone" stating that only in "fairness can we get to the root of our problems and solve them to the good of the generality of our people." Omeruah told nigeriasports.com in Abuja where he briefed journalists on the working of his committee at the Bolingo Hotel that he will not: "assure you that I will come up with a report that will be proactive. Let me call on the media and other sports loving Nigerians to make suggestions available to the committee,” Omeruah said. "I'm not out to witch hunt anybody here. No, that's not what I was set up to do and my only appeal is for everybody to patient with this committee do it's job with all fairness," he told nigeriasports.com Omeruah, a former Nigeria Football Association (NFA) chairman and Sports Minister whose request to freely co-opt more members into the 'Probe Committee' nigeriasports.com was reliably informed, said: "Mr. President is deeply worried over our performance in Athens like every other Nigerians and we're determined not to disappoint him in this national assignment."
