Bash Ali retains WBF cruiser weight title

bashi retain title
Bash Ali has retained his World Boxing Federation cruiser weight after his opponent Tony Booth from Britain threw in the towel after just three rounds in their scheduled 12 round encounter at the indoor sports hall of the National stadium,Lagos

Although the fight ended in the 3rd round  when Tony Booth corner threw in the towel, They were  later to explain that Tony had slipped in his hotel bathroom and injured his ankle on the morning of the fight , but that he had to go out and fight in order not to let  the  teeming boxing fans down.

And the popular belief that the challenger was  an unknown boxer and a s such a  push over, was  however, easily wiped out in the first round as he stood and fought toe to toe with the Bash Ali and landing some solid punches sending packed hall charging for more.

The Briton has promised to return later in the year to retire Bash from boxing

Haba Mr Awoniyi, give Bash some credit. The man is still fighting at his age, the least you can do his congratulate him dont bring him down. He has done the country pround, how many nigerian boxing champions do we have out there? Please learn to appreciate your fellow country men. Infact i think Bash Ali should be awarded MON by the president, he has set a good example for younger boxers in nigeria. Am really pround of him.

If Bash Ali believes he is as strong as he is, I am asking to challenge know boxers and forget about children. He at one time said that he is a professional, but I don't understand why his glooves is still in the rings of amateur. Even the now-wowanish Tyson can send Bash out in round 1. He should go to his hometown on concentrate on his pounded yam.
