Nigerian swimmers, Obia Inyengiyikabo and Eric Williams say they expect to perform well in Athens. Nigeriasports.com understands.

"I've been training as I've never trained before 'said Williams, Afro-Asian Games medallist and holder of National record in the breaststroke event,

'The Olympics is always for the big boys but with God's grace I will perform well and improve on my record' says the Rivers state swimmer who won a bronze medal at the Olympics qualifier in Morocco.

Inyengiyikabo, on her part, was full of praise for the Ministry for exposing them to the training camp while adding that she hopes to make an impact in Athens

'The competition at that level is always going to be tough because of the calibre of world class swimmers that we will be swimming against but at the end, we would have bettered our records as well as gain a lot in terms of more exposure'.

National swimming Coach Philip Demehin told Nigeriasports.com that both swimmers have improved on their times since their arrival in Germany.

“They have both adjusted well to face the task ahead. They have cut down on their times and I hope at the Olympics they can do even better':
