Defiagbon loses at last

David Defiagbon
Nigerian born Canadian FEDECENTRO heavyweight champion David Defiagbon over the weekend tasted his first pro defeat in 22 fights. Nigeriasports.com can report

Fighting in the main event of ESPN Friday night fights Defiagbon went down to more experienced Oleg Maskaev (29-5) at the Trump Taj Mahal.

Maskaev proved he's still a factor in the heavyweight division by punishing the 1996 Atlanta Olympic silver medallist Defiagbon (21-1) for ten rounds.

Maskaev dropped Defiagbon in round six and had him in trouble again in the final round.

Despite making the bout a bit lopsided in most of the rounds Maskaev only won by split decision on the judges cards.

Scores were 98-92, 96-93 for Oleg and 95-94 for Defiagbon.

I think apatheid has robbed Defiagbon of this fight.
