Falcons set to complete destruction of Senegal

Former International, Ann Chiejine
Nigeria’s Falcons Team, preparing for the AWC are almost set to completely destroy what is left of the Senegalese team in the Africa Women Championship qualifiers this weekend, nigeriasports.com reports.

After a total 8-2 annihilation in Dakar, that saw Patience Avre grab four goals and Cynthia Uwak get another three another under her belt, whatever resistance the Senegalese have left would be totally shattered.

Team welfare Officer and former Nigerian International, Ann Chiejine told nigeriasports.com that she was proud of her players who fired on all cylinders in the Dakar game.

She also heaped praises on Coach Godwin Izilien on the good job done in the first leg.

“For the girls, all I can say is that it was a wonderful result. Even in my playing days we never won any away match by as much as eight goals.” Ann Chiejine told nigeriasports.com.

On the coaching crew, Ann Said Izilien must be given kudos for his ability to knock the girls into shape and come up with a winning formula with just less than three weeks of training.

“Izilien is great. He is a very a very great coach. The training was not easy for the girls. He knew he had little time to come out with a winning team so he maximised his time.”

"Concerning saturday's match, I think it may have been better for Senegal if they stayed home because my girls have said they will go all out and will not stop scoring until the end of the game"

"Every one is in high spirits and we are trully looking forward to the game."
