Injuries, absconding players unsettle Dolphin![]() Already captain, Ahmed Abdulrahman and striker, Uwazuoke Wobo may have been ruled out of the match as they failed to dress against Kwara United on Saturday in the league. Though Wobo featured in Wednesday's FA Cup round of sixteen match against Bissalo, he was just recovering from a bout of malaria and only played because the club had no other options. In the match against Kwara, Keeper Chijioke was taken off with an injured shoulder and the same applied to Victor Ezeji who might need an x-ray to ascertain the extent of the damage to his shoulder. “After speaking with the club medical crew, they said i do not need an x-ray. I still have not resumed training, but it is getting better.” Victor Ezeji told nigeriasports.com after Wednesday's game against Bisalo. “But I do not think I will be fit in time for Sunday's game because it looks bad. I could hardly move my left arm all through Saturday night and even now it’s difficult.” Joe Cole also disappeared from the club’s camp in Kaduna and sources say he is in Israel under going trials. Two players who were signed on in midseason to beef up the side, Kennedy Boboye, from Manning Rangers of South Africa and Emmanuel Ebiede from Al Naswri of Dubai have also not been seen since the FA Cup match against Lobi Stars in Lagos. “They told me they had family problems to sort out immediately after the FA Cup in Lagos but since then we have not seen anyone of them or even heard from them and I think that is very wrong for professionals.” Technical Adviser, Musa Abdulahi told nigeriasports.com. “For Sunday Rotimi, he is preparing to go abroad on trials and we might have to register our former first choice keeper, Victor Brown who just recovered from an ankle injury he sustained just before the start of the season.” Other injured players include hard grafting midfielder, Uduak Udofia and second highest goal scorer, Bola Bello. 0
