Lagos Machines retain Dantata Cup

KANO - Defending Dantata Cup champions of the MTN Kano Polo tournament, Kano Bua lost their crown to an Adamu Yaro inspired Lagos Machines, Saturday in a 7-6 feast of goals. The explosive match saw the two teams matching each other, skill-for-skill.

Though Kano Bua trailed 0-3 at the end of the first chukka, their star player, Hamisu Buba put up an inspirational display to level scores and from there it became a ding-dong affair.

The appreciative crowd asked for more as the match became tougher and more interesting as the time click ticked away.

The match ended 6-6 at the end of the regular 4th chukka, and an extra chukka was given in a bid to find an eventual winner.Man of the match, Adamu Yaro stole the show when he scored the decisive 7th goal against the run of play in the extra 5th chukka.

Lagos Machines thus fufilled their pre-tournament boast that they were not in Kano for a tea party , but to clinch the Dantata cup from Kano Bua.
