Enyimba players pray before a match
Enyimba footbll Club of Aba move to fourth on the Premier League table after beating visiting NPA Seasiders of Lagos 2-0 on Sunday, leaving club Chairman, Felix Anyansi Agwu stressing that his side will clinch their fourth successive league shield. Nigeriasports.com can report.

Anyansi Agwu told nigeriasports.com shortly after the match on Sunday that he had always insisted that Enyimba would win the league five consecutive times before they stop.

“A lot of people underrated Enyimba because of our lethargic start to the season, but if they think it is easy playing in the Champions League, Local League and FA, let them ask Lobi Stars and Julius Berger where they are now.”

“For now there’s no question about our ability to retain the Champions league, but the Premier league is something that made a lot of people write off Enyimba.”

The Chairman told nigeriasports.com that the major threat to Enyiimba’s 4th consecutive league win is Kano Pillars who won 1-0 away to Mighty Jets on Sunday.

“AT a time I really though Dolphin had wrapped it up but see how things have changed now and they are down to second place.

In Sunday’s match marred by heavy down pour, Enyimba’s second string side laboured to a 2-0 win over a rejuvenated Seasiders with goals from Emeka Nwanna in the 4th minute and Daniel Benedict in the 80th.

Enyimba decided to rest most of the players that will travel to Abidjan for a Champions league date against Africa Sports next weekend.
