Falconets ready for Equatorial Guinea

All is now set for the U-19 World Cup Qualifying match between Nigeria’s female U-19 National Team, tagged, The Falconets and their counterparts from Equatorial Guinea.

Already, twenty players from the Nigerian side and their coaches, led by Felix Ibe-Ukwu, a.k.a. Gabowski and Rolandson Odey departed Lagos where they have been camped for a month to Abeokuta, the venue of the match on Tuesday.

The match billed for the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium will take place next Sunday.

Chief Coach of the team, Felix Ibeh is upbeat on the chances of his side as he believes they can win by as much as 9-0.

“I have always said I will not let the country down. We will go out there and do our best and who knows? If things go as planned we might win by as much as 9-0.”

Goalkeepers: Francisca Agbara (Police Machine), Chidinma Harrison (Pelican Stars) and Nkiru Okwara (Pelican).
Defenders: Onye Chibuzor (FCT Queens), Osundu Onwusorom (Pelican), Chizioma Oparaocha (Delta Queens), Lilian Cole (Delta Queens), Adeola Aminu (Delta Queens), Augusta Egwim (Rivers Angels) and Blessing Akusiobi (Macbeth).
midfielders: Edith Eduviere (FCT), Semola Akinlose (Delta Queen), Evelyn Nwabuko (Bayelsa Queens) and Rita Chikwelu.
attackers: Akudo Iwuagbu (Delta Queens), Maureen Eke (Delta Queens), Rosemary Okezie (Bayelsa), Theresa Gomina (Macbeth), Chioma John (Bayelsa) and Promise Sike (Delta Queens).
