TinCity Queens lose keeper

There was tragedy in the camp of fist division Nigerian female league side, Tin City Queens on Tuesday when the death of one of their players, simply known as Ogechi was announced.

Ogechi, a goalkeeper was reported to have died after a protracted illness that started just before the Sports Festival last month.

A source at the club told nigeriasports.com that Ogechi who played for Solid Babes of Nasarawa state last year was sick and was given some medication only for her to leave for Abuja and then Jos where she eventually just slumped and died on Tuesday night.

She is said to be the last born of her family and the only daughter.
